Chocolate Mirror Cake

A chocolate lover’s delight – this Chocolate Mirror Cake has no less than five types of the cocoa-based bakery. And it’s been awarded a 1-star Great Taste award in 2024.

We start with the base of walnut and hazelnut chocolate brownie which transitions between chocolate creameux, hazelnut milk chocolate feuilletine and chocolate mousse. And finally it’s finished with a mirror cocoa glaze.

Did we mention there’s a lot of chocolate?

The Great Taste judges loved the combination saying the cake was “decadent and technically astute; in terms of flavour, each element matches up to its predecessor”. They said, “the feuilletine stars, though the mousse is equally as special”.

This cake is around 8 inches in diameter and served on a 9-inch cake board. It should serve around 8-10 people.
