About the role
Alresford is our Hampshire shop: a food shop and café on Broad Street that was Caracoli until the 2026 rebrand, and still has the regulars to prove it. Eight Heidi shops now share one bakery, and this one runs its own show at the far end of the round.
We are looking for someone to run it — the team, the standards, the rota and the stock — and to be on the floor when it is busy rather than behind a door. Days only: the baking happens overnight at Heidi Studio in Windsor, so nobody here closes at midnight.
What you’ll do
- Lead the shop team day to day, and build one that takes pride in the work
- Hold the line on food safety, cleanliness and quality
- Own the rota, the stock and the front of house
- Get on the floor and serve through the busy hours
- Spot the people worth developing, and develop them
What we’re looking for
- Three years or more managing a café, bakery or food and drink operation
- A year or more behind a coffee machine
- Leadership that works through a rush as well as a quiet Tuesday
- Happy with early mornings and daytime shifts
- A reliable commute to SO24 9AR
